In continuation of our commitment of fostering open communication and transparency, a brief update for this weekend's Feud:
As you know, our latest patch (0.304) was designed to address the technical issues that have affected Faction Feuds. And, although we thought we had a solution in place for one of the biggest issues--players or factions being locked out and unable to play--that bug avoided being squashed, and as a result, some of our players had frustrating experiences in the last Feud.
We’ve taken a review of our Server and in short, it appears that the server processes that put players into Feud were being over-taxed which led to a lockout.
We've scaled up those processes and added additional resources, which should prevent the issue. However, of course, even though this fix performed well during our internal load testing (i.e. the team was unable to reproduce the issue once the resources had been scaled up), we won't know it’s true impact until this weekend.
While we are confident that the Feud will run properly, the Engineering team is on standby this weekend to monitor the Feud’s technical performance and do whatever we can do to ensure a smooth experience.
