Since the last Faction Feud, we have isolated a good amount of issues that will be addressed in the near future. We have combed through all of your reports on social and support tickets, and it’s safe to say there are 2 critical issues we’re dealing with: 1. Ghosting, and 2. General Stability. Most other problems (with the exception of post-match freezes) we saw cropping up over this past weekend were likely a product of issue #2. Here is how we plan to attack these issues:
Our QA team was able to reproduce this issue this past Feud, and we later determined that it was a server-side bug caused by several factors. We’ll be devoting additional team resources to tackling it and are hoping to have a fix deployed within the next few weeks.
Last week we saw major improvements in the 1st day of the Feud, but as the event went on, overall performance declined. This was especially apparent during Saturday and Sunday play. We have determined the cause of this issue and have a plan of action in place to address it. Essentially, we will be greatly reducing the amount of processes involved in calculating scores to minimize the amount of data being sent which strains the servers. Instead of the server doing this instantly, it will account for multiple players’ scores at a less-frequent basis. This will cause the leaderboard to refresh the rank fewer times, but improve performance.
This fix is already in progress, but will take a few more weeks until it can fully be deployed. Until then, we will be implementing a temporary fix that should improve the performance for the next Feud.
The team is aware of the post-match freeze affecting players occasionally in the Feud and will be working to pinpoint the cause and repair it.
As mentioned above, we saw multiple reports of strange issues occurring during the Feud, many of which are likely a byproduct of the servers being overburdened. These issues include, menu lag, being kicked from a brawl, etc. Once our next fixes for server stability are deployed to the game, many of these should also disappear. We’ll keep an eye out at that point to investigate any lingering problems.

Bug Fixes & Improvements:
Due to some complications with Faction Feud, the 24-Hour Frightful Friday Feud this week has been postponed to a later date. We have been investigating the issue affecting scores and rewards the past Feud and will be implementing a fix in order to address it. In an attempt to safely postpone the Feud, it had started prematurely for a short time this evening. This has been resolved and the Feud will be removed in several hours. We will therefore be pushing back the 24-Hour Feud to a date after these fixes can be applied. This Feud with the Xavier Woods top prizes will return at a time to be announced soon.
For this weekend, we will have a Blitz with Brains and Striker Tokens, as well as a Talent Up Event.
As for the issues from the past Faction Feud, we have distributed rewards to the Top 100 and are sending out rewards to some Factions that received an incorrect rank. These Factions will be receiving the adjusted difference in the next 24 hours. Our next update (coming next week) will also contain several improvements and more bug fixes to Faction Feud.
We appreciate your patience,
